Norman the Camper

We're Jess and Alex and we own Norman the camper! Norm is a 2013 Peugeot Boxer that was a originally a council housing workshop van. We bought him with 87,000 miles on in November 2022 and have done everything from the Windows, lift kit to the full interior build out!

Since having Sid we were completely hooked on having a van! We loved the feeling of hitting the road with nothing but a train ticket for the tunnel or sometimes not even that if we were just travelling in the UK! 

We decided though to take Norm to the arctic and that's exactly what we did! On the 27th December 2023 we set off to the arctic circle hoping to take on temps we'd never even considered before. We aimed to do 7 weeks there. We were lucky enough that both our employers allowed the time off so we had jobs to come back too! 

We faced our fair share of issues up there, from not using studded tyres, to our diesel heater breaking in -25, our MAP sensor freezing in the induction system just to name a few! The challenge every day though was what made the trip so amazing to me! The view, the people and the memories are something we will think about forever. A word of warning it is hard work! Would we go back? Hell YEAH!!

To create the content that we do it takes a large mix of equipment, but basically it boils down to a DJI Mavic Mini 3 Pro and a Sony ZV-E10 with a Sigma  16mm F1.4 lens. A full list is below:
